Drawing the figure involves knowledge about how the masses of the ribcage and pelvis drive the motion of the rest of the body. We'll cover the major parts of the body and how they move, what their masses look like, and how best to capture them. We’ll warm up with our model starting with short poses of a few minutes before moving on to a longer pose of a couple hours.

This is an in-studio class with a live model. Class tuition includes a model fee of $50. Materials are charcoal and white chalk on toned paper, or charcoal on white paper. Please contact me if you have questions about class materials.
